Red Deer
Red Deer is located half-way in between Calgary and Edmonton. It is a small city of about 80,000 people, and has been experiencing much growth in the last 5 years. Typically Red Deer is known to produce very conservative minded individuals. In reality it can be a very open-minded and accepting city. Human rights organizations are very active in the community and work to reduce the "rednecked" label that is sometimes given Red Deer. Red Deer also has an active queer community, with GLBT groups in the college and high schools.

Red Deer has bragging rights to the "most boring post card in the world".
