Bear River
Bear River is a little quiet hamlet situated at the end of the Annapolis Valley. About 7 miles from the mouth of the river itself, it offers a splendid drive through a winding country road. About 20 minutes from Digby and 35 from Annapolis Royal, Bear River is a nice stopping place on your way to Halifax if you are coming from Maine or St. John, NB via the ferrys. Be sure to take in Cherry Carnival held late July every year.
