Ahhh.. Halifax, the city by the ocean. The capital of Nova Scotia, Halifax has a thriving and active gay community. Surrounded by water on 3 sides, the city is a peninsula with many parks and waterfront places in which to relax and enjoy the slower pace of this laid back city of over 300,000.

The gay district has moved about in recent years and is now situated pretty much downtown. While there is no real heart to the gay district in Halifax, you will find many gay pockets here and there. Check out the many coffee shops on Spring Garden Road - always full and wonderful gathering places for friends.
